2019 Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 launched with Factory-fitted CNG kit. Priced from RS 4.11 lakhs.

Due to increase in cost of Petroleum products like petrol & diesel, the demand for CNG vehicles are increasing rapidly and in notice to that Maruti Suzuki has launched the CNG version of its entry level car Alto 800 in India.
Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 is the top selling car in India due to its affordability, low cost of maintenance, Maruti's brand value and overall a great entry level car. Even most of the Taxis in India are Alto's. The taxi drivers demand more mileage in lesser costs and so the Alto 800 CNG can be a great proposition for them.
Maruti has launched the Alto 800 CNG in two variants : LXI and LXI optional. Both are essentially the same, only the LXI optional gets an extra airbag as compared to LXI model. Talking about enginespecs, the Alto 800 CNG is powered by a 800cc, BS VI compliant engine which produces 48bhp & 69 Nm, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

As compared to the petrol models, the features remain unchanged and it gets the same features as the petrol LXI model. Even it gets safety features like reverse parking sensors, ABS with EBD, driver side airbag, seat belt reminder and speed warning alert as standard.
Finally, coming to its price, the Alto 800 CNG model costs around 60,000 rupees more than its equivalent petrol model. The LXI model is priced at RS 4.11 lakhs while the LXI optional is priced at RS 4.14 lakhs Ex-showroom.
