We all know that the Future is Electric and in the near future we all are going to have lots of Electric cars in India and that too which are quite accesible and practical for the Indian Consumers. The Giant South Korean company Hyundai is going to launch its First Ever Electric Car in India which will be a SUV called the Hyundai Kona Electric SUV. It is Expected to be priced between 20-25 lakhs Ex-Showroom and In This Blog We are going to tell you Top 5 things which you should know about India Specific Hyundai Kona!
1. Indian Spec with lower capacity battery : Hyundai has launched the Kona Electric SUV in the other Global markets with a higher capacity battery but to keep the prices in check they will be offering a lower capacity battery in India. In India, We will be getting a 39.2 kWh battery which produces 136 PS & 395 Nm. Also it will provide a Range of 345 kms per charge. Whereas in the International Market Hyundai is offering a larger 64 kWh battery wich produces 204 PS & 395 Nm and provides a range of 546 kms per charge.
2. Availability in Limited Numbers : Hyundai Kona Electric SUV will be available in India in very Limited Numbers. Initially Hyundai is planning to serve 50 units of Kona per month which is actually a good start for an all Electric car.
3. Charging Time : The Hyundai Kona can be charged fully from 0-100 % in 6 hours 10 minutes from a regular 7.2 kW on board charger. However, you do get an optional Fast Charger of 100 kW which can charge it from 0-80 % in just 54 minutes. That's Supremely Fast! Isn't it?
4. Blue Link Connectivity will be available : Hyundai's recently launched Sub-Compact SUV Hyundai Venue gained a lot of popularity due to its connected car feature via the Blue Link connectivity and the same will be offered in Kona Electric SUV too.
5. Handy Features : Hyundai Kona will be offered with a lot of handy features in its Cabin. Like it will have a massive 10.25 inch touchscreen display which will support both Android Auto & Apple Car Play. Also it will feature Satellite Navigation & call emergency system. etc.
