KTM RC 125 launched in India at an introductory price tag of Rs 1.47 lakhs.
KTM has finally launched its most anticipated bike in India, the RC 125, at an introductory price of Rs 1.47 lakh Ex-showroom. The bookings for this entry-level Super Sports bike from KTM have already begun, while the deliveries will commence towards the end of this month.
While the pricing of the RC 125 is on the expensive side & that too its an introductory price which means there will be a slight bump in its price after few months like we saw on the Duke 125 which was launched at an introductory price of Rs 1.18 lakhs & was later increased to 1.25 lakhs. And at Rs 1.47 lakhs Ex-showroom, the RC 125 is around 43,000 rupees cheaper than the RC 200 but Rs 8000 dearer than the more powerful Yamaha R15 V3 and the Pulsar RS 200.
Talking about the engine specs, it borrows the same engine from Duke 125 which is a 124.7cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled unit producing 14.5bhp & 12Nm mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike is designed on a trellis frame like all other KTM's and gets an upside-down fork at front & a mono-shock at the rear. The brakes are also identical to the Duke 125 & it gets disc brake on both ends while the ABS is a single channel unit.
The Indian-spec RC 125 is almost similar to the international spec model. The only changes are that it gets an underbelly exhaust & not a side-mounted unit, along with a rear tyre hugger & saree guard which is mandatory.
