Hero Splendor i-Smart BS6 launched | India's First BS6 Compliant Motorcycle!

Hero MotoCorp : India's Largest Two-wheeler manufacturer has gone a step ahead of its competitors & launched India's First BS6 Compliant Motorcycle, the Splendor i-Smart BS6. The bike is priced at an Ex-showroom Delhi Price of Rs.64,900 which is roughly around 7,500 rupees more than the outgoing model. The Bike gets an All New Engine along with host of other minor updates.
Starting with the heart of the matter, the Splendor i-Smart BS6 gets an All New 113.2cc single cylinder, air cooled, fuel injected engine which churns out 9.1bhp & 9.8Nm, mated to a 4-speed gearbox. It replaces the older BS4 compliant 109.15cc engine, but despite the increase in displacement of the engine, the overall power has decreased by 0.4bhp & torque has been increased by 10%.
The Bike is based on a new diamond frame & the suspension travel has been increased by 15mm while the wheelbase has been increased by 36mm which helps in getting a more pliant & stable ride. The Bike gets a 240mm disc at front & 130mm drum brake at rear, while suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at front & dual springs at rear. Hero has even managed to increase the ground clearance of the bike from 165mm to 180mm, without increasing the seat height which stands at 799mm, thereby making it a great commuter motorcycle for both urban & rural roads.
Talking about other changes it now gets a brighter headlight but sadly it is still halogen, gets revised body graphics with some minor tweaks, a semi analogue semi digital instrument cluster along with Hero's i3s technology.
Hero has announced that the production of the motorcycle has already begun & it will reach Hero Dealerships across India by the end of November 2019.
