Jawa Perak Bobber launched in India | The Go-Solo Motorcycle!
The Classic Legends - Jawa Motorcycles, has launched it's third motorcycle in the Indian market and this time it's a Bobber-styled motorcycle called the Jawa Perak. Jawa has made a comeback in the Indian Market last year as a Subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra group & they have launched the Jawa 42 and the Jawa Classic & showcased the Perak. And finally this year on the occasion of its 1st Anniversary, they have launched the Jawa Perak Bobber at an Ex-showroom price of Rs.1.95 lakhs. While last year at the showcasing event it was said to be priced at Rs.1.89 lakhs but that was the BS4 version & now Jawa has launched in BS6 avatar, so the price went up by 6000 rupees and thereby making it the first BS6 compliant motorcycle from Jawa.
Starting with its design cues, the Perak has a different style statement when we compare it with other Jawa models. The Bike gets a complete matte-black finish & has got a low & long stance, and the toolbox design is also different. The Bobber-like styling elements include a single piece floating seat, bar end mirrors, chopped fenders and short & thick exhaust mufflers. It also gets a classy Perak logo on the fuel tank which looks beautiful & like all other Jawas, it too gets an analogue instrument cluster where the needle rotates anti-clockwise & a digital reading for the odometer.
The Jawa Perak is powered by a BS6 compliant 334cc, single cylinder, fuel injected, liquid cooled engine which churns out 30bhp & 31Nm, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The suspension duties are handled by chunky telescopic forks at front & monoshock at rear, while the braking job is performed by discs at both front & rear, and it gets Dual-channel ABS too as additional safety guard.
Jawa has announced that the bookings for the New Jawa Perak will begin from 1st January 2020 while the deliveries will commence from 2nd April 2020. Jawa has also announced that the Test Drives of the Jawa Perak will be available across all Jawa Dealerships across India by the month of December 2019.
