New Honda SP 125 BS6 Compliant Motorcycle launched in India | Feature Rich Commuter!

Honda Two Wheelers India have launched their Second BS6 Compliant two-wheeler in the country & this time it's a Motorcycle (the first being the Activa 125 BS6). Honda has launched its Feature Loaded Commuter Bike, the SP 125, and it replaces its one of the most popular commuter, the CB Shine 125 SP. Starting with its price, the Honda SP 125 has been priced at an Ex-showroom Delhi Price of Rs.72,900 for the Drum brake variant while the Disc brake variant costs Rs.77,100, thus its base variant costs around 9000 rupees more than the outgoing model, which is significantly higher.
Talking about the New bits, let's start with the engine, the SP 125 gets the same 124.7cc single cylinder, air cooled engine but now with fuel injection & complies with BS6 norms too. It produces 10.8bhp & 10.9Nm, mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The overall power figure has increased by 0.5bhp & Honda claims that the mileage of the motorcycle too has increased by 16%.
Talking about the asthetics, it gets revised looks with tank extensions, new body graphics & sharper body design which overall adds to its presence. The overall length, width, height & wheelbase of the  motorcycle has also been increased & it is now available in four colour variants - Grey, Green-Black, Red & Blue.
Honda has added plenty of segment first features too which includes an all new LED headlamp, an all digital instrument cluster with plenty of information including real-time fuel efficiency, distance to empty, gear position indicator & more. It now also gets Honda's New Silent start feature, which has been first used in Activa 125 BS6. The rest of the bits remain the same & it gets telescopic forks at front while dual springs at rear for suspension duties. While the braking duties are performed by disc/drum at front & drum at rear with Honda's patented CBS or Combi Brake Technology acting as added safety feature.

Honda has announced that the production of the New SP 125 has already begun & it will start reaching all Honda Dealerships across India by the end of November 2019.
