New Royal Enfield Classic 350 BS6 launched in India.
The BS4 compliant Royal Enfield Classic 350 used to get a 346cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor that churned out 19.8bhp of power and 28Nm of peak torque, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Royal Enfield has not revealed the power and torque figures of the BS6 compliant engine but now it gets electronic fuel injection and the company claims that the fuel injection system will help to improve refinement, drivability and the ability to consistently start in the cold weather. The brand also claims that power and torque delivery is tuned to provide better performance.
The motorcycle gets telescopic forks at the front and gas-charged springs at the back, while the brake duties are handled by discs at both front and end, and it also gets dual-channel ABS as standard for additional safety. The BS6 Royal Enfield Classic 350 is now pricier by around 11,000 rupees and will retail at Rs 1.65 lakhs Ex-showroom, the bookings for the BS6 version has already begun and one can book by paying a token amount of 10,000 bucks. The brand has also introduced a new after-sales service package and will now offer a three-year warranty and three years of roadside assistance.
