2020 Hero Passion Pro BS6 launched in India; Better than Before!


The National Capital New Delhi based home-grown two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp has launched a set of BS6-compliant motorcycles today in India. The company has launched these bikes at the Hero World 2020 Event organized at the company's Centre of Innovation and Technology (CIT) facility located in the pink city Jaipur. The company has unveiled three products and for a reference addressed them as 'Rise', 'Revive' and 'Race' during the launch event. In this article, we will be talking about 'Revive' i.e. the all-new 2020 Hero Passion Pro BS6.

Hero MotoCorp has rolled out the updated model of the Passion Pro commuter motorcycle and it has received minor styling upgrades along with some tweaked hardware and BS6-compliant engine. The Hero Passion Pro now gets a new diamond frame that is claimed to weigh lesser than before, and lesser weight means better performance as well as more efficiency.


The 2020 Hero Passion Pro BS6 looks sportier and more stylish than its predecessor. The bike gets newly-designed headlamp, a more muscular fuel tank with angular extensions, bikini fairing, revised taillamp and triple-tone contrasting graphics which overall adds to its character. The bike is available in four different colour options to choose from which includes Glaze Black, Sports Red, Moon Yellow and Techno Blue shade.

The 2020 Hero Passion Pro 110 is powered by a BS6-compliant 113.2cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine comes that churns out 9.15bhp at 7,500rpm and 9.79Nm of torque at 5,000rpm, mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox. Like all other Hero bikes, the Passion Pro too comes with the brand’s i3S or idle start-stop system to maximise fuel efficiency and it now also gets fuel-injection technology and bids adieu to the old-school carburettor.


The commuter bike from Hero is claimed to deliver “on the brand's promise of performance with style”. The company claims that the fuel economy of the bike has gone up by 5% and in order to improve its riding comfort and performance, the bikemaker has increased its ground clearance by 9%. The front and rear suspension travel have also been increased by 14% and 10% respectively. It now also gets a part-digital instrument cluster with a real-time mileage indicator.

The 2020 Hero Passion Pro BS6 is available in two variants: Disc and Drum and is priced at Rs 64,990 and Rs 67,190, all prices Ex-showroom Delhi. Hero has also announced that the shippings are already in progress and the deliveries of the motorcycles will commence within a few days.
