2020 MINI Clubman Indian Summer Edition launched in India.
MINI is a British automotive marque founded in 1969 and owned by German automotive giant BMW since 2000. MINI is used by BMW for a range of small cars. The MINI cars are compact in dimensions but offer great driving pleasure. MINI has its own charm and style statement and the company sells only a limited number of cars in India. And now MINI has launched its 2020 MINI Clubman Indian Summer Edition in India which is a Limited Edition model that offers Exclusivity to the owners.
This special-edition MINI model gets mechanical and cosmetic changes, along with more features. Aesthetically, it gets the new Indian Summer metallic red shade and is complemented by the piano black exterior finish around the redesigned circular LED headlights, foglights, mirror caps, rear lights, and grille. The rear continues to sport the LED taillights with the brand’s distinctive Union Jack design.
The 2020 MINI Clubman Indian Summer Edition continues to feature an LED ring and the 6.5-inch colour screen on the dashboard. The car comes with a multi-function steering wheel wrapped in leather and also gets a panoramic glass roof for a cozy feel in the cabin. The interior also gets the piano black treatment with new black chequered design along with LED ambient lighting and puddle lamps with the MINI logo on the ORVMs. The car also gets electrically adjustable sports seats for driver and front passenger with memory function and is upholstered in leatherette Carbon Black.
The MINI Clubman Indian Summer Edition is powered by a 2.0-litre TwinTurbo petrol engine that churns out 190 PS and 280 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, instead of the 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox available on the standard model. The car claims to sprint 0-100 kmph in 7.2 seconds with a top speed of 228 kmph. It also gets multiple driving modes to alter the vehicle’s ride comfort, sportiness or efficiency.
The 2020 MINI Clubman Indian Summer Edition has been priced at Rs 44.7 lakhs Ex-showroom which makes it around 3.7 lakh rupees dearer than the standard Clubman. The new limited edition model is restricted to just 15 units for India and the bookings for the same will begin from 15th of February, 2020 on Amazon.com.
