India-spec 2020 Hyundai Creta Interior Sketches Revealed.
The New Generation Hyundai Creta will feature all-new looks along with a gazillion of features in the interior and bunch of powertrain options too. The 2020 Creta gets a completely new design, however, the styling is subjective and might get mixed opinions from the audience. It has grown in dimensions compared to its predecessor and gets an all-new Hyundai’s signature Cascading grille with new 17-inch diamond-cut alloys and all-wheel disc brakes. It also gets split headlamp and tail-lamp units giving it a more futuristic look. The car also features skid-plates both at the front as well as at the rear, roof-mounted spoiler, roof-rails, and body-cladding all-around to give it an SUV stance.
The sketches reveal that on the inside the India-spec model gets a completely different dashboard design with a steering wheel that’s similar to the one on the latest-gen Hyundai Sonata and the upcoming i20. It also gets controls for audio, Bluetooth and cruise control on the steering wheel. The 2020 Creta will get a fully digital instrument cluster along with a large 10.25-inch infotainment screen that’s placed below the AC vents. However, the infotainment screen on the India-spec Creta has a landscape-oriented layout, unlike the large portrait setup as seen on the China-spec car. The car will also get some premium features on the higher variants like ventilated seats, wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof, an electronic parking brake, etc.
Coming to the powertrain options, the new-gen Creta will borrow its engines from Kia Seltos and it will get 1.5L Petrol and 1.5L Diesel engine options producing 115bhp/144Nm and 115bhp/250Nm respectively, both mated to a 6-speed manual and an automatic gearbox. Hyundai might also offer the 1.4L Turbo-petrol unit that churns out 140bhp on tap mated to a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT.
The Hyundai Creta has always been a preferred choice among buyers looking for a mid-size SUV with Great Value for Money proposition. The New Creta will be officially launched in India on March 17, 2020, and is expected to carry a price tag of Rs 10-16 lakhs Ex-showroom. It will rival the likes of Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier, MG Hector and Mahindra XUV 500.
