Maruti Suzuki Futuro-E Concept SUV breaks cover at the 2020 Auto Expo.
India’s Largest Car Manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki, is all set to have a great 2020. The Indo-Japanese car manufacturer has showcased a total of 17 cars at the ongoing 2020 Auto Expo, which is being held at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida from 5-12 February 2020. The 17 Car portfolio of Maruti Suzuki includes BS6 iterations of multiple existing products of the Indian market like the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso, Baleno, S-Cross, and recently launched Ciaz S. However, the biggest Star Attraction at the company's pavilion at the Expo was the Maruti Suzuki Futuro-E Concept SUV.
Maruti Suzuki Futuro-E Concept SUV was the first car to be unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo and it created a sense of excitement in everybody as the design was really futuristic. The Concept SUV has been designed by the in-house design team of Maruti Suzuki in India and it previews how the future cars from the brand could look like. The company has even pegged the Futuro-E as ‘an Indian car with global sensibilities.'
The Futuro-E gets a very unconventional design. This mid-size SUV gets a futuristic look with its wraparound headlights and taillights and a unique color scheme. In fact, it looks the best from the side profile where you can notice the fusion of coupe and SUV styling. Maruti has given the Futuro-E a very interesting character with its sporty silhouette and coupe-design.
The interior too looks very modern as the dashboard gets a very wide-screen display, most probably an all-touchscreen unit, at least in concept. Next to the futuristic steering are more displays for the driver and for interior controls, like adjusting the seat. There is also ambient lighting on offer.
The Maruti Futuro-E will be a mid-size SUV from the brand to rival the likes of Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta. Maruti claims that the SUV-coupe concept is "future-ready with a wide array of powertrain options like hybrid & pure EV." However, the production version of this concept car will retain some of the elements from the concept, but it will become a significantly toned-down version for practicality in real-world conditions.
