New Generation Audi A8 L launched in India, priced from Rs 1.56 Crores.

The German Luxury Car Manufacturer Audi has finally launched its flagship sedan in the country. The New 2020 Audi A8 L has been launched in India with prices starting at Rs 1.56 Crores Ex-showroom. This is the fourth-generation model of the A8 and gets a long list of equipment on offer, and being a premium sedan it boasts of utmost rear-seat comfort.

The 2020 Audi A8 L for India is powered by a sole 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 petrol engine under the moniker 55TFSI, that churns out 340PS of power and 500Nm of torque, mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. It also comes with Audi Quattro technology and gets a permanent all-wheel-drive system. The car can sprint 0-100 kmph in just 5.7 seconds. It is also equipped with 48V mild-hybrid technology consisting of a belt-starter generator and a 10Ah lithium-ion battery pack. The hybrid system allows the vehicle to coast at speeds from 55-160 kmph with the internal combustion engine switched off, for up to 40 seconds.



The Audi's Flagship Sedan is high on technology too. The dashboard of the car features dual touchscreen units, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system for controlling navigation and media and another 8.6-inch curved display placed below for operating climate control and seating functions. It also gets Bang and Olufsen 3D surround sound system, an advanced voice-command function, etc.

The A8 L focuses more on rear passenger comfort as it will be mostly chauffeur-driven. It gets a detachable twin-touchscreen rear-seat entertainment package and a footrest mounted on the backrest of the front passenger seat with a foot massager. Other highlights of this limousine include a new multifunction steering wheel, Audi’s Virtual Cockpit digital instrument cluster and an optional heads-up display.



The standard safety features of the New Audi A8 include 8 airbags (there’s an option for two more airbags), ABS with EBD, traction control, ESC, hill-start assist and a 360-degree surround-view camera with 3D view. The price of this ultra-luxury sedan starts at Rs 1.56 Crores Ex-showroom and it takes on the likes of Mercedes Benz S-Class, BMW 7-Series and Jaguar XJL.
