New Generation Hyundai i20 Official Sketches Revealed.

The hangover of India's Biggest Automotive Extravaganza i.e. the 2020 Auto Expo wasn't over yet and Hyundai has released the official sketches of its another upcoming car. The South Korean Giant and India's Second Largest Car Manufacturer Hyundai Motor Company has released the first teaser image of its upcoming New Generation Hyundai i20.

Hyundai has teased the exterior sketches of the new-gen model of its hot-selling hatchback. The design of the new i20 will be more of an evolution than revolution as the silhouette and overall profile of the new i20 will remain the same as its predecessor. However, it will look more sporty than the outgoing model, thanks to the new sharp design.

Upfront, it will get Hyundai's signature cascading grille along with merging headlights, just like the Elantra facelift. The front bumper, as well as the side profile, gets an aggressive design with sharp cuts and creases. It also gets dual-tone roof and sporty-looking diamond-cut alloys. The rear-end of the car gets a sloping roofline along with an integrated spoiler and shark-fin antenna.

The interior sketches of the new i20 haven't been revealed but it will get a premium cabin loaded with features. The cabin will sport an all-digital instrument cluster, BlueLink connected-car tech with a larger 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charging, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, push-button start/stop, front and rear armrests, and up to six airbags.

Coming to the powertrain options, the new i20 will be powered by a standard 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, a new 1.5-litre diesel unit, and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. All the engine options will be mated to either a manual gearbox or an automatic transmission.

The 2020 Hyundai i20 will be launched in India around June this year and rival against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Honda Jazz, Ford Freestyle, Toyota Glanza and recently launched Tata Altroz.
